Glass blowing is an art which many artists admit is a dying talent, but at Tamarack it's alive and well with demonstrations going on almost daily.
Artisan John DesMeules, is one of the artists who showcases his work at the travel plaza for tourists and locals to see.
"Glass blowing is something that's going away there are companies closing all the time so this is one of the last places you'll be able to see glass blowing, so Tamarack is a great place to watch," said DesMeules.
Lauren Weppler, evening anchor for 59News, didn't just come to watch DesMeules, she wanted to trade places to get the real sense of what a glass blower has to do.
DesMeules took Weppler through the step by step process of how to make a Christmas ornament.
He first showed her how to gather the glass, roll it shape it and blow into the glass to get the right color and look.
DesMeules said what he likes the most about his job is creating something from start to finish.
The public can watch DesMeules and other glass blowers at work at Studio C inside Tamarack.
