France may offer free surgery to remove silicone breast implants from thousands of a now defunct manufacturer is accused of filling the implants with cheap industrial silicone. The implants were recalled last year over concerns about them breaking and the possibility of causing cancer.
Meanwhile, British health officials said that, so far, they don't see a reason to have the implants removed, but women should seek medical advice if their implant has ruptured.
Tens of thousands of women in France, Britain and Spain have the implants.
