LEWISBURG -
Still have trouble finding that special Christmas gift?
Head to historic downtown Lewisburg for unique gift options unlike any other.
"The stores have a lot of great, American, unusual crafts that you can't get at any other chain stores and it's good to support local businesses," said Kelli Martin, employee at Studio 40.
The unusual could refer to jewelry, clothing, glassware, art, or cooking supplies.
One Lewisburg shopper has been visiting the area from Blacksburg, Virginia for the last 25 years.
"Well there seems to be a lot of variety. Seems to be reasonably prices. People are friendly," said Fred Benfield of Blacksburg.
Lewisburg's newest shop, Deep River Creative, is the only art supplies store in Southern West Virginia and offers water pastels and engraving sets for as low as $2.00
Which both make fun, affordable stocking stuffers for kids of all ages.
"At deep river creative we have a lot of diversity. We do things like custom picture framing, photography. We sell very unique gift items that you can't find anywhere else. A lot of our items are hand-made," said Rodney LehrBass of Deep River Creative.
The store does wood turning and the owners said they have gifts for the home and office.
