With January 3, 2011 slowly approaching, No. 11 Virginia Tech (11-2) is preparing for another BCS game. Last year, the Hokies fell to Stanford 40-12 in the Orange Bowl. This year, the team takes on No. 13 Michigan (10-2), which is led by dual-threat quarterback Denard Robinson. The junior rushed for more than 1,000 yards and passed for more than 2,000 yards. The Hokie defense gives up just 17 points per game. That stat is good enough for eighth in the country.
The Wolverines give up 17 points per game as well, and are slated seventh in the country in that category. Michigan's offense scores 34 points a game on average, and normally gets it done on the ground. The Wolverines rack up an average of 235 yards a game on the ground.
