Elderly May Suffer From Memory Loss Due to Strokes

Memory loss in the elderly may be due to what are called silent strokes.

A new report from the American Academy of Neurology looked a hundreds of elderly men and women with no history of dementia.

Brain scans revealed many of them had experienced silent strokes resulting in small pockets of dead brain cells.

Those seniors did not perform as well on memory exams.
