
Wyoming East had beaten Westside 10 straight games before tonight's contest.
Make that 11.
The Warriors edged out the Renegades in a game plagued by fouls and free throws. The Renegades held the early advantage before the teams begin passing the lead back and forth.
For Wyoming East, Josh Tunstalle led the team with 16 points. Marcus Schofield and Taylor Smith each contributed 12 points and Luke Campbell added 11.
For Westside, Justin Cogar led all scorers with 21 points. Corey Bowles chimed in with 17.
The Renegades entered the game ranked sixth in the AP poll. They are now 6-3. The Warriors, the second-ranked squad in Class AA, improve to 5-1.
Wyoming East hosts Mount View next Tuesday, while Westside hosts Shady Spring the same day.
