Greenbrier East may now be 9-0, but the team sure got a test Saturday night at home. Chante McDowell scored 14 points but none more important than her game-winning lay-up against Huntington.

Anna Hammaker led the Lady Spartans with 22 points. Bianca Andre added 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Greenbrier East is ranked No. 2 in the West Virginia Coaches Association poll, and No. 3 in the Associated Press poll. The squad next visits South Charleston, the consensus No. 1 team, on Tuesday, January 10.
