    Crews fought a house fire in Fayette County Saturday evening for several hours. 911 Dispatchers said the call came in of a house fire on Paint Creek Road near Pax around 6:30 p.m. Pax Fire Department and Bradley-Prosperity Fire Department responded along with several other crews. We're told no one was inside the home when the fire happened.

The Raleigh County prosecutors office is out with the list of indictments from the latest session of the grand jury.

We saw at least 41 indictment on drug charges, ranging from delivery of cocaine to prescription drug offenses.

Most of the charges dealt with prescription drugs, as part of an initiative involving the Beckley police department, Raleigh General Hospital, the Raleigh County prosecutors office and the doctors.

Detective Jason McDaniel with the Beckley police department said of the 41 drug indictments this term, five dealt with cocaine.   The rest of the indictments all involved prescription drugs.

McDaniel credits a new partnership with Raleigh General Hospital, the prosecutors office and doctors in the region to a bigger crack down on abusers.

He said people are trying a lot of different ways to illegally get their hands on these drugs.

"A lot of these charges are obtaining by fraud. They're doing different means of obtaining these prescription pills by fraudulent means such as MRIs. They're giving doctors fake MRIs. They're lying to doctors to obtain these controlled substances so a large percentage of these charges in this grand jury were from that," said McDaniel.

McDaniel says the goal is to stop the pills before they even hit the streets.

There were indictments that also included grand larcenies and burglaries in Raleigh County.

Also out of this grand jury term...

Jeremy James Lambert, 30, of Oak Hill was indicted on first degree murder charges.

Police say he stabbed to death Cyan Elizabeth Maroney, 26, of Beckley at a home on Myers Avenue in Beckley in October.

Lambert fled the scene before authorities arrived and then led police on a four hour chase between Nicholas, Fayette, Greenbrier, and Raleigh counties.
