Concord Hoping To Build Off Big Game

Kent McBride's first season as head coach for his alma mater has been a little up and down. The Mountain Lions are 9-7 overall with a 6-6 mark in the WVIAC. That's on pace to be much better than last year's 11-16 overall record with an 8-14 mark in conference play.

McBride says the primary focus for his club is defense. Concord has offensive fire power. The Mountain Lions are averaging 83 points per game. On defense, the team gives up 82 points per contest.

Last game against Davis & Elkins, CU limited its opponent to just 68 points. McBride wants a repeat performance when the Mountain Lions travel to Bluefield State on Saturday.
