Woodrow Earns Tough Road Win

The number one team in Class AAA led by as many as 22 points, but had to defend a late charge to win 72-63.

Wyoming East, No. 4 in Class AA, tied the game in the fourth quarter, but Woodrow made key free throws down the stretch to preserve the win.

For the Flying Eagles, Cam Shannon led all scorers with 21 points. Larry Terry added 18 points, and Matt Potter chipped in with 17.

The Warriors were led by the duo of Luke Campbell and Marcus Schofield, who each had 17 points.

Woodrow Wilson improves to 9-2, while Wyoming East drops to 7-3. These two teams will meet in Beckley next Saturday.
