There's new evidence that an active brain may help prevent Alzheimer's.

Brain scans show that people who participate in mentally stimulating habits throughout their lives have lower levels of a destructive protein that's linked to Alzheimer's disease.

The new study at University of California, Berkeley backs up earlier research, finding that activities like reading, writing and games may help protect against Alzheimer's later in life.
