
Basketball legend Ralph Sampson spoke in Bluefield as the keynote speaker at the Tierney Scholarship Awareness Dinner.
The dinner was held at David's At The Elks Club.
The 7'4'' Sampson is from Virginia and played at the University of Virginia-where Bluefield College head coach Richard Morgan played at as well.
Sampson won three NCAA Player of the Year awards and was the number one pick in the 1983 NBA draft.
Sampson spoke about a MAP to success-meaning (M) motivation, (A) attitude and (P) planning.
