New Test Could Help Survival Rates for Cancer Patients

A new test could eventually improve the survival rate for thousands of lung cancer patients.

The test measures the activity of 14 genes in cancerous tissue.

Scientists at the University of California say the test results could accurately predict the odds of death and could also guide treatments for patients with the most common form of lung cancer.
