Monroe County Woman Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges

A Monroe County woman is behind bars for attempted murder.

Ora Camille Matics, 30, of Glen Ray, has been arrested and charged with the attempted murder of Chloe May Cecchini, 52, of Alderson.

Deputies say Matics attempted to suffocate Cecchini with a fabric-like substance.

The victim was treated at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center for symptoms of asphyxia, where she narrowly survived.

Cecchini is being held in the Southern Regional Jail in lieu of $26,000 bond.
