One Transported to Hospital Following Accident in Beckley

One person was transported to the hospital following an accident that occurred around 7 p.m. Friday night near Brookshire Lane on the bypass in Beckley.

Beckley Police say that a silver sedan rear ended one vehicle, then slammed into concrete barrier near the end of the bridge that spans Piney Creek.

Traffic was briefly delayed so that emergency crews could quickly reach the scene, but returned to normal by approximately 7:30.

One person was transported to the hospital, though injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
