No. 4 Wyoming East needed overtime to beat No. 6 Oak Hill when these two first met this year.
In a different venue, the end result was the same-but not as close.
East used a 24-4 first quarter to propel itself to a 72-48 victory in the first round of the Great Atlantic Classic.
The Warriors were led by Taylor Smith's 16 points. Luke Campbell added 15 points and Marcus Schofield chimed in with 13. Wyoming East improves to 10-4 and takes on the winner of Independence-Tug Valley on Saturday.
The Red Devils were paced by Rondale Watson. The sophomore scored 15 points. Kadrin Goodman added 13 points and LeVon Elam chipped in with 12 points. Oak Hill is now 10-4 and takes on the loser of Independence-Tug Valley game on Wednesday
