The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources has announced the re-issue of boil water advisories for three communities in southern West Virginia.
In Summers County, residents with the River Rest Home Owners Association in Danville are under a boil water advisory. It was initially issued on June 30, 2006 and has been re-issued due to failure to properly monitor the drinking water.
In Greenbrier County, Residents of the Black Bear Lodge and Brown's Mobile Home Park water system communities of White Sulphur Springs also have had boil water advisories re-issued. The advisory for Brown's was also issued on June 30, 2006 and was also re-issued for failure to properly monitor the drinking water. The Black Bear Lodge advisory was initially issued on Jan. 28, 2009 and has been re-issued due to inadequate disinfection of the water.
Customers in these water systems are advised to bring water used for drinking, cooking or hygienic purposes to a full rolling boil for at least a minute prior to use.
These advisories are in effect until further notice.
