With one quarter left in the contest, No. 1 Greenbrier East was staring at a six-point deficit.

The Lady Spartans responded by outscoring Hedgesville, 18-6 for a 52-50 win.

East was led by Anna Hammaker's 16 points, and Bianca Andre chimed in with 15. The Lady Spartans improve to 18-0 and take on University in the championship game in the Big Atlantic Classic on Saturday at 7:20 p.m.
