BECKLEY -

After starting the season with eight straight wins, Woodrow Wilson found itself ranked No. 1 in Class AAA.

The next two games, however, the Flying Eagles lost and saw themselves drop to sixth.

Now, the team is trying to climb the hill back to number one.

No. 5 Beckley takes on No. 1 Martinsburg in the Big Atlantic Classic on Friday. Martinsburg was 14-0, but just loss to Washington.

The Classic is held in the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center, which is where the Flying Eagles play their home games.

Woodrow will try to beat the top-ranked team on its home court, for a chance to advance to the championship game on Saturday.
