No. 5 Woodrow Wilson had a chance to pack it in and give up. The team faced a 10-0 deficit early in the game against No. 1 Martinsburg.

But the Flying Eagles stormed back to take a small lead into halftime. Later Beckley led by double-digits but found itself in a tight contest.

Eventually, Woodrow held on for the 63-60 win.

The Flying Eagles were paced by 20 points from Cameron Shannon. Ta-Ron Ayers added 14 points and Andrew Johnson chipped in 12.

Woodrow improves to 12-2 and takes on Morgantown in the finals of the Big Atlantic Classic at 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
