Without two of its starters, Greenbrier East almost pulled off the upset against No. 2 Fairmont Senior, losing 65-58.

Hunter Roberts stepped up big for the Spartans. The senior scored 33 points. Obi Romeo added 10 points.

Greenbrier East missed all 11 three-point field goals.

The Spartans fall to 9-7 and host No. 7 George Washington on Wednesday.
