The call came in around 11:15pm last night. 34-year-old Aaron Hamrick of Matheny was driving down Route 10 when he crashed his vehicle. The Wyoming County Sheriffs Department, Oceana Fire Department
The cause of the accident is unknown and is still under investigation by the sheriff's department.
A Fayette County man has been sentenced to more than five years in prison.
Evan Darnell Wagner, 25, of Mount Hope, was sentenced Wednesday for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Wagner pleaded guilty in October 2011.
State troopers learned that Wagner was seen carrying a rifle in the Mount Hope area in May of last year.
Police then searched the residence of an associate of Wagner and found the firearm hidden at that location.
He was prohibited from possessing a firearm by virtue of a 2008 felony conviction.
The investigation was conducted by the West Virginia State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
