Researchers have discovered that even moderate air pollution can raise the risk of strokes.

Scientists studied more than 1700 stroke victims in the Boston area over a 10 year period.

They found the risk of strokes increased as much as 34 percent on days when pollution levels were higher.

Researchers say pollutants from cars and trucks seem to be the biggest culprits.
