People who have trouble sleeping could face memory problems later in life.
Researchers in Saint Louis looked at sleep patterns of 100 people and those who woke the most during the night were more likely to have plaque buildups in the brain.
That's a hallmark of Alzheimers, though it can appear years before any symptoms of the disease.
The study calls for long term research to determine the cause and effect and whether manipulating sleep could be a future strategy for preventing Alzheimers.
