Man's Best Friend Could Help Pregnant Women Get Exercise

Posted: Updated:

Having a dog can help pregnant women get the exercise they need.

Researchers studied 11,000 pregnant women and found that those who owned dogs were 50-percent more likely to get the recommended 30 minutes of exercise a day.

Doctors say walking a dog for a half hour a day is a low-risk exercise that can help improve the health of pregnant women.
