BECKLEY -

A local business celebrated their grand opening by taking a step back in time.

The new Mountain Vintage in Beckley had a civil war re-enactment group fire off a cannon for their ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday.

Owner Michael Shifflet said his restaurant focuses on lunches soups and salads and also features an antique shop inside as well.

Shifflet said the restaurant is a great local place to eat and shop for old time treasures.

"It's personalized, it's not standardize to appeal to the masses." said Shifflet

As part of the event, Monte Durham from TLC's Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta, cut the ribbon to help promote the stores wedding cakes; another treat available at the restaurant.

Guest will also find a little something for everyone in the antique store from toy cars to furniture.
