Community members continue to show their generosity long after the holiday season.
In fact, Habitat for Humanity and Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity work year-round to help create safe affordable homes for families in need.
Feb. 18, at Lewis Nissan in Beckley, the interior walls of Colette Godfrey's home were erected so she could see roughly what her home would look like when completed.
She said she is thankful for their help and looks forward to keeping her family in the home for many years.
"I want my home to be there and always be there incase something happens to me they'll have a place to come back home to," said Godfrey.
As part of the event, Lewis Nissan also donated a brand new truck to Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity.
The vehicle will be used to continue serving the community and building adequate homes for the less fortunate.
