Fundraiser to Be Held for Mercer County Homeless Shelter

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. -

A Mercer County organization is holding a fundraising dinner to help raise money for a homeless shelter.

Open Heart Ministries out of Bluefield will serve a chicken wing-ding dinner on Friday, Feb. 24.

The money will help its homeless haven ministries project.

Dine-ins are served at the Internet cafe at 415 Federal Street, Bluefield, W.Va. in the West Virginia Manor.

Deliveries are available to the local area.

The meals will be served on Friday starting at 11 a.m. and continue through 4 p.m.

The dinner includes three whole chicken wings, green beans, homemade potato salad, dessert and soda.  The dinner will cost $7.50.

Open Heart Ministries is a Christian-based, non-profit community alliance dedicated to assisting temporarily homeless people, irrespective of age, color, race, or religious affiliation.
