Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., visited Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia Monday to celebrate their accomplishments.

He visited with employees and talked with company leaders about how they have bounced back from last year's tsunami and earthquake in Japan.

The company is also celebrating the recent announcement of a $45-million expansion that is expected to take place over the next couple years and add 80 new jobs.

The senator also met with suppliers who have invested money in the area.

"It's in the Japanese tradition when a major company relocates to a new facility, in this case Buffalo, that a lot of their suppliers, it's in the Japanese culture will follow them," said Senator Rockefeller, (D)-WV.

More than 22 Japanese companies have relocated in West Virginia, including three in Wayne County.

Toyota is now the largest industrial investment in the state in 50 years.
