The following is a press release from Concord University:
With a large and promising recruiting class wrapped up, Concord men's soccer head coach Steve Barrett has announced the Mountain Lions' 2012 schedule.
CU will begin its fall campaign with back-to-back non-conference matches in Muskingum, MI. Concord takes on Trevecca Nazarene University (TN) on Friday, August 31, and meets the host squad – Muskingum University – on Saturday, September 1.
The Mountain Lions visit geographic rival Bluefield College (VA) for a night match on Thursday, September 5.
The WVIAC schedule begins with a road match against West Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 9.
CU's home opener is set for Tuesday, September 11, when WVU Tech comes to Anderson Field for a non-conference match. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
Concord's first WVIAC home match will be against Shepherd, at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 16.
The Mountain Lions will host the University of Charleston – the defending WVIAC champion – on Tuesday, September 25. Kickoff is a 4:00 pm.
The remainder of the WVIAC schedule calls for Concord to host Davis & Elkins and Seton Hill. CU will visit Alderson-Broaddus, Pitt-Johnstown, Wheeling Jesuit and Ohio Valley.
The Mountain Lions' final regular-season home contest will be on Friday, October 19, when King College (TN) comes to Anderson Field for a 4:00 pm kickoff.
Concord concludes the regular season with three straight road matches, concluding with a matchup at Cedarville University (OH) on Saturday, October 27.
The WVIAC Men's Soccer Tournament is set to start on Tuesday, October 30.
