An Active Mind May Stave off Memory Loss

Posted: Updated:

There's more evidence that an active mind helps head off memory loss.

Researchers at Rush University studied over a thousand senior citizens.

The group kept track of their mental activity, including reading newspapers, writing letters and playing board games.

As they scaled back these activities, their mental functioning declined.

The study concludes keeping mentally fit may be the best way to head off memory loss late in life.
