Reds Fall in Extra Innings

One day after winning a game in the ninth inning, Cincinnati scored two runs in the last stanza to tie Washington.

However, in the 10th, reliever Alfredo Simon threw a wild pitch, allowing the Nationals to score and win the game, 3-2.

Ryan Ludwick drove in both runs for the Reds.

Starter Mat Latos went five innings, and gave up two earned runs.

Cincinnati drops to 3-4 and will play Washington on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
