Princeton High School students will hold a special event on the Holocaust in the Little Theatre at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17.
The Holocaust Day of Remembrance Ceremony is just one of many events being held this week to remember the genocide of 11 million people during World War II. Students were inspired to hold the event after learning about the holocaust and recent the recent genocide in Bosnia and Uganda as part of their multicultural literature class.
The event is registered on the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum web site. The keynote address will be given by Holocaust survivor Daniel Kereth of Bluefield, W.Va.
The event will also feature special music, a proclamation from Princeton Mayor Pat Wilson and a video supplied by the Holocaust Memorial Museum.
