Elephant walk Wednesday evening in Charleston

The annual opportunity to see "The Greatest Show on Earth," is back in Charleston.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus have scheduled the annual elephant walk for 6 p.m. Wednesday between Charleston Town Center Mall and the Civic Center, where the circus is scheduled to perform through Sunday.

"Fully Charged," the newest entertainment from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will feature all the traditional aspects of "The Greatest Show on Earth," including "The Fearless Fernandez Brothers" performing extreme jumps and twists on the high wire and the comedy of clown alley.

Tickets for the opening night of the circus are $13 for opening night and $15 and $20 for all other performances with a limited number of $35 VIP, $55 front row and $85 circus celebrity tickets available.

Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening, as well as 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday along with 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday.

PETA is scheduled to protest the circus at noon Wednesday in Charleston near the Civic Center.
