Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg kicks off their 45th season with a one woman show, "Happy Memories Club."
The show is based on a story by best selling author Lee Smith.
A retired woman is on the verge of being kicked out of a writing group because her memories aren't happy enough for the group.
Actress Barbara Bates Smith plays Alice Scully, recalling her memories in a bold and funny manner.
The show runs April 19, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $20 per person and can purchased at www.gvtheatre.org or by calling 304-645-3838.
Bates Smith will also hold three writing and storytelling workshops to highlight autobiographic storytelling.
The workshops are April 20, 21 and 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
