Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20. A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County. The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

Authorities at the Beckley Correctional Facility are searching for a missing inmate. Joshua Greenwood was reported missing late Monday night. Guards say he was unaccounted for in a 10:15 p.m. head count.

This Friday the community is asked to come together to honor the bravest behind the badge in Raleigh County.
The Fraternal Order of Police is hosting their Officer of the Year Banquet in Beckley this Friday.
Lt. Paul Blume said the money raised will go to a good cause.
"They donate all proceeds to crime stoppers. So crime stoppers has partnered with us for this. But they get all the proceeds they are very beneficial to law enforcement. So it is the Fraternal Order of Polices way showing we want to give back to our community," Lt. Paul Blume with the Beckley Police Department said.
Five Distinguished Service awards and Officer of the Year will be presented during Friday night's dinner at the Moose Lodge in Beckley.
Tickets are 10 dollars each and are available at the Raleigh County Courthouse.
