It's good that Kanawha County Schools Superintendent Ron Duering is taking a hard line on the knuckleheads who apparently thought it was ok to go on a shopping spree with taxpayer money.
While we're still waiting to determine exactly what happened, it's clear that someone trusted with our money put their interests above everything else.
As school systems struggle with financial matters and our students and teachers are asked to do more with less, I hope that Superintendent Duering sends a strong message that this kind of abuse will not be tolerated.
