Identity Released of Man Who Died on New River

National Park Service releases the identity of a man who died while canoeing on the New River.

David Caldwell said Jason Moore, 38, of Centerville, OH. reported having chest pains while on a private canoeing trip.

Moore pulled his canoe to the shore near the lower Kenney rapid while his friends went to find help.

When they returned, Moore was not where they had left him.

The search for Moore was suspended early yesterday morning but his friends continued to search,finding Moore around 4 a.m.

Officials believe the man passed away due to a medical problem and confirm that this was not a drowning death.
