Charleston-based business Brickhouse Cardio Club has been
partnering with the American Red Cross as part of National Volunteer Week, April
15-21.
During this time, volunteers with the Red Cross are being offered
a coupon that will grant them a free cardio class at any participating Brickhouse
location between now and October 2012. Classes offered by Brickhouse include Zumba,
Pilates, Turbo Kick and other fitness-related group classes.
"We see this as a way to help our communities and recognize
the dedicated volunteers at the Red Cross," said Brickhouse co-owner Misti
Janey. "So many of our communities in West Virginia
have been affected this year by flooding, tornados and fires."
"Red Cross volunteers are always there to help out. National
Volunteer Week is a great time to say thank you."
Brickhouse, which opened its first location in Cross Lanes
in 2010, currently has 35 franchise locations in 13 states. Locations
participating in the National Volunteer Week promotion include Bluefield,
Va., Princeton,
Cross Lanes, Kanawha City,
Teays Valley
and St. Albans.
