SUMMERSVILLE -

The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced that a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 19 in Summersville will begin tonight, April 23, at approximately 6 p.m.

The project begins at the Hughes Bridge and will end at the intersection of W.Va. 39. West Virginia Paving, the contractor responsible for the project, will work Monday through Friday, from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. There will be a 1 lane closure, north and southbound. There will be a 14-foot width restriction within the project.

Motorists are asked to use caution while traveling through the work zone. The DoH advises motorists to allow additional time for their commutes, as delays are expected.

The anticipated completion date of the project is June 30, though inclement weather or other circumstances could change that completion date.
