People all over the Mountain State are celebrating the 2012 Week of the Young Child.
Locally, MountainHeart Community Services in Beckley is honoring those who shape young minds.
The organization assists parents with paying for child care.
This year's theme is "early years are learning years."
"Our children are everything," Chairperson Angela Scott said. "They are our future. We're raising our communities. They provide them with an early education, skills they'll take early on and in life."
Parents can bring their child to the office to get a book while supplies last and check out artwork.
