Captain Jim Sizemore of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department confirms that deputies are currently investigating a stabbing that occurred in the Powellton area. The incident was reported at approximately 9 p.m.
The victim has been transported to Montgomery General Hospital, though their condition is unknown at this time.
A suspect has been identified, but fled the scene and has not yet been arrested. Sizemore says deputies are currently trying to locate him.
