FAYETTEVILLE -
An apparent domestic argument in the Powellton area of Fayette County sends one person to the hospital.
Sheriff's Deputies responded to the call at 9 p.m. on Monday, April 23. They found Lon Frederick Pettry, 45, of Kimberly had been stabbed multiple times in the chest and arm. He was taken to Montgomery General Hospital and later transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The suspect in the case, Michael Brian Christian, 46, of Mount Carbon had run off before Deputies arrived, but turned himself in at the sheriff's office on Monday night.
"It is unclear at this time whether drug or alcohol use was a factor in this incident," said Sheriff Steve Kessler.
Charges were expected to be filed in the case on Tuesday afternoon. The incident remains under investigation.
