
Raleigh County Sheriff's deputies will be stepping up patrols this month with sobriety checkpoints.
They will conduct a checkpoint Friday, April 27, on W.Va. Route 99 in Raleigh County.
The focus will be to identify impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Deputies will also be looking for revoked or suspended drivers and any traffic and highway safety related violations.
The checkpoint is sponsored by the West Virginia Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
