Justice Robin Davis Visits Mercer County Students

Posted: Updated:

Justice Robin Davis with the West Virginia Supreme Court met with four students of Mercer County on Thursday to congratulate their latest achievement.

Merritt Fleming, Preslie Jones, Alexus Worrell, and Alyson Robinett teamed up to create a winning Social Studies fair project on a topic Justice Davis is working to fix in the mountain state.

Their project "So What If I Miss School?" took first place in the Economics category of the RESA I Regional Social Studies Fair and also placed third in the state-wide competition. The team of four convincingly argued their point of good school attendance and the economic benefits of graduating.

Justice Davis, along with Mercer County Circuit Court Chief Judge Omar Aboulhosn and Judges William Sadler and Derek Swope listened to the presentation in an auditorium filled with the group's classmates.
