    Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20.  A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County.  The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
    The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

Crews from several Raleigh County volunteer fire departments spent the night battling a structure fire.

The blaze was reported on Robinson Street in Glen White April 26, around 11:50p.m.

Two structures were damaged in the blaze, and other houses were located close by.

According to emergency dispatchers, crews from Lester, Sophia City, Trap Hill, Sophia Area and Coal City all responded.

They were on scene until 4:30 a.m. the following morning.

Emergency dispatchers said a couple of firefighters were injured.

Their condition is not known at this time.
