ATHENS -

University students give up the comforts of home for 24 hours to raise money for the homeless.  58 Concord University students participated in constructing a box city to live in overnight. Junior Erica White said this gives students the opportunity to know what it is like to not have a home.

"I cannot image living like this we've got blankets and stuff and we can get food but some people can't get something to eat. It is just one night and I can't imagine doing it every night it makes me thankful for what I have," Erica White said.

Each team of participants paid a 20 dollar registration fee and that money will be donated to Scottie's Place, a shelter for the homeless
