New mothers with depression may be keeping their babies up at night.

Mothers who are under stress are more likely to overfeed their infants, according to a new study in the journal Pediatrics.

Researchers found 24 percent of low income mothers added cereal to their infants' bottles, to help their babies sleep longer or stay full longer.

But the practice may lead to childhood obesity.

Researchers found single mothers, mothers who were depressed and parents of tempermental babies were all significantly more likely to add the cereal.
