LEWISBURG -

Small businesses in the Greenbrier Valley are hosting a Mother's Day local business and consultant expo.

Saturday's expo will feature booths for area businesses, a bake sale, lunch items for sale, a raffle basket, and crafts for children to make for Mother's Day.

"It's a way to get local businesses out there so people can learn about the small businesses here," said Kristy Yeager, expo host.

All proceeds from the expo will benefit the Greenbrier Thunder, a local traveling summer basketball team.

"The raffle basket is already valued at $600 from donations from businesses," said Yeager.

While the parents cruise around the business booths, children can make crafts or plant flowers to give as gifts for Mother's Day.

The expo will be held at Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg on Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
