Six West Virginia community health centers are getting federal grants to help pay for equipment or other improvements.
The grants from the Affordable Care Act total more than $2.7 million. They range from $873,400 awarded to Rainelle Medical Center to $32,526 awarded to Camden-On-Gauley Medical Center.
Other health centers receiving grants are: Community Care of West Virginia of Rock Cave,$383,000; Community Health Systems of Beckley,$500,000; Monongahela Valley Association of Health Centers of Fairmont, $459,561; and Womencare of Scott Depot,$500,000.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced the grants Tuesday.
